The Seychelles has established well-formed legislative system International Business Companies, Offshore Banks, Insurance Companies, Mutual Funds, Trusts, and extensive programs of investment incentives, as well as an International Trade Zone. The Seychelles have territorial taxation; thus only locally-sourced income is taxed.
The establishment and operations of offshore companies is regulated by the Seychelles International Business Authority(SIBA) which is essentially a one-stop shop that covers both licensing and regulation of the primary offshore business activities. It is the Registrar for International Business Companies, International Trusts, Protected Cell Company, Special License Companies, and Limited Partnerships.
The laws of Seychelles are quite comprehensive, modern and take a friendly approach to the establishment and operation of offshore companies, mutual funds, offshore banking, offshore insurance and freeport activities.
